So October has finally kicked in along with some cold weather, but we’re determined to hold off on our winter coats for a little longer. So join us for one last summer session with these ace new tracks this week.
Elena – Stuck on Repeat
A fabulous pop tune to get things going – from emerging singer Elena who brings her slick vocals and hit production to the Bristol scene. Hit play and you’ll have this stuck on repeat.
Wild Ones – Invite Me In
Continuing the theme of pop songs, the wonderful Wild Ones have shared single ‘Invite Me In’ from their anticipated debut album Mirror Touch out this Friday. Fluid sounds and intoxicating harmonies while striking words about living a guarded live and letting people in. On point once again from the Portland based five-piece.
SLONK – I’m Pursuing A Career Outside Of Conveyancing
Bristol artist SLONK continues his rising momentum with the announcement of new EP Losing My Mind On The Outside Of Everything. Following standalone folky single ‘Jane’s Boots’, the singer has shared new cut ‘I’m Pursuing A Career Outside Of Conveyancing’ – recorded in one take in his bedroom. SLONK’s biting vocals channel through scuzzy guitars and hard-hitting drums, resulting in something raw but also brilliant.
King Krule – Half Man Half Shark
Watch out or King Krule might come out to bite you. Terrible pun we know, but latest song ‘Half Man Half Shark’ doesn’t hold back with the artist’s distinctive vocal and sharp tones we’re familiar with. New album The Ooze is out next week.
Arctic Lake – Forget About It All
London trio Arctic Lake have dropped their new track ‘Forget About It All’ from forthcoming EP Closer. Delicately layered sequences and vocals that give you the feels; it’s nothing short of stunning from the rising pop group.
Miya Folick – Woodstock
A cover of Joni Mitchell’s song ‘Woodstock’ beautifully done by singer-songwriter Miya Folick which features on her forthcoming EP Give It To Me. Listen to this one unfold into something spectacular.
