The Feed - Your weekly round-up and digest on all things new music.

The Autumn season is just around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited. With so many shows and releases on the way, why not enjoy our juicy round-up of new tunes and get yourselves pumped for the season ahead. Let’s get right to it!

Van Zeller – The Coward

Bristol four-piece Van Zeller are back with new single ‘The Coward’ following their debut 7″ earlier this year. The track which tales on the concept of masculinity is an absolute belter from the get-go as the group hold nothing back – with grungy guitars and commanding vocals which let loose in the chorus. The band kick off their first headline tour in September and are set to play Thekla on 29th September.

Sœur – Slow Days (Live at Reading & Leeds Festival)

Bristol rockers Sœur have had a cracking festival season, wrapping up their tour over the weekend at Reading and Leeds Festival. Watch them performing single ‘Slow Days’ live on the BBC Introducing Stage. Great stuff!

King Krule – Czech One

Having sent cryptic posters to fans of his album titles in Spanish and other teasers to boat, Archie Marshall under the moniker of King Krule returns with new material since 2013’s debut album 6 Feet Beneath the Moon. ‘Czech One’ is a delicate jazz-inflicted piece that’s both haunting and reflective. This one requires patience so stick your headphones on and listen to this gem unfold.

Mauwe – That’s All

Summer is coming to a close but that doesn’t mean the end of summer tunes. This song from Bristol newcomers Mauwe has arrived just in time, glowing in electro pop goodness, but also heartfelt in its message. Listen here.

The Dolce Vita – Sofa Bed

Slick guitar lines, hazy ballads and catchy lyrics that’ll have you singing along in no time; psych pop three-piece The Dolce Vita know how to make good music. The band have just released their debut EP Brand New Bathroom and shared ‘Sofa Bed’ from the record, which is about how you spend the early hours of your life and where you end up. Reflective, summery and fun from start to finish.

Siv Jakobsen – Berry & Whythe

Singer-songwriter Siv Jakobsen has released her debut album The Nordic Mellow and with it a live session of stand out track ‘Berry & Whythe’ which is a real beaut. The artist is set to play The Lantern on 5th October as part of a joint headline tour with Fenne Lily, Sivu, and Paul Thomas Saunders. Don’t miss out!
