A little treat to start off the week; we’re delighted to bring you an exclusive first listen to the forthcoming High Climbers album Air Traffic ahead of its official release on Friday (23rd February).
The DIY lo-fi sounds of High Climbers are building something special with guitars, keys and vocals that bring culture and togetherness into the Bristol music scene. The band, now a four-piece are working on their debut album but in the meantime are sharing a prequel in which band member Mike Robertson collates his solo songs together into an enticing full-length piece.
According to the press release, Air Traffic is the many adaptations of Mike’s inner dialogue that seem to be on loop: from restlessness beset by self-doubt, navigating human relationships (and their eventual ends), and a perpetual quest for higher mental ground. The collection is bound by a comfort in the psych-folk world and a love of all intimate compositions unhindered by sonic complexity.
You can stream the release exclusively above and check out more details about the album via the band’s bandcamp page.
