It’s back! The return of Bristol’s multi-venue music festival event, Simple Things has announced the line-up for its 2019 edition, taking place across various venues in the city on the 18th and 19th October.
This year’s outing will see Holly Herndon headline the day programme to perform her incredible AI-assisted album PROTO to Bristol for a special audio visual show, alongside other headlining acts, including Ata Kak, A Certain Ratio, Nilüfer Yanya, Avalon Emerson and Kode 9 X Kōji Morimoto.
Techno star Avalon Emerson will lead the night programme n addition to Jayda G, Andrew Weatherall, Dr Rubenstein and Bruce. Laurel Halo and Parris are also set to host a collaborative b2b set which promises to be special.
Simple Things is set to launch the proceedings with an opening concert. William Basinski, Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand will showcase the world premiere of their new audiovisual piece 10000 Peacock Feathers In Foaming Acid at Bristol’s IMAX cinema.
