Dot to Dot Festival 2017: Kudu Blue

We’re back with another interview where you can find out more about some of the artist’s playing at this year’s Dot to Dot Festival. Next up are Brighton four-piece Kudu Blue.

Introduce yourselves, how did it all start?

We were all friends before getting together as a band and have made music with each other in various other projects. Tom and Owen started off Kudu Blue as a production duo, Clem came in for a session and we wrote a track, ‘Bones’ it worked really well so we got Creeda on board and got cracking.

Describe your sound?

It was always a tough one for us to name ourselves although recently people have been drawing similar comparisons. Electro, R’n’B, Pop probably fits it.

You’re performing at this year’s Dot to Dot Festival, What are you looking forward to the most?

We’ve never played in Nottingham before so that’s going to be great fun, and just catching lots of new music!

What are you hoping to take away from the festival?

A great time playing to some great people, hopefully we’ll be able to play to people who may not have heard us before, and Owen can win them over with his boyish charm.

Are there any bands you are looking forward to seeing at the festival?

Croox, Yonaka, Nilufer Yanya, Yellow Days

Lastly for our readers and everyone else, where can people check out/access your music?

Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud 🙂
