What more do you need than sweet soul to accompany you next to the gently rocking boats of Bristol Harbour? London’s Tom Misch is reaching the Bristol Sounds stage to keep you cool, calm and chilled with his self produced beats and caramel voice. His first full-length album, Geography, combines nu jazz, cousin kruler style vocals and laid back hip hop to tell the typically relatable stories of millennial britons. A set to get you swaying under the twinkling summer stars.
He will be supported by jazz drummer Yussef Dayes, a personal favourite of mine who never fails to impress with his technically gifted yet personally expressive playing. Having been one half of the celebrated Yussef Kamaal, he now plays with the likes of Alfa Mist and Mansur Brown, widening his equally talented jazz family. Be sure to check out their latest release, ‘Love is the Message’, the name says it all.
