Singer-songwriter and all round babe Katie Crutchfield and her punchy indie folk project, Waxahatchee, are set to perform a stunning and vibrant set at The Fleece. The band’s most recent album Out In The Storm was released last year and features some of her most delicate and heartfelt songwriting. Think Courtney Barnett badassery meets Carole King; chuck in some gut wrenching guitar twang and you’ve got a goosebump-inducing sound.
After seeing them perform a memorable set at Green Man Festival in 2015, they’ve been on my ones-to-watch list ever since. If you’re a fan of folksy, heart wrenching tunes with a hint of punk this is most definitely the gig for you. Give ‘8 Ball’ a listen and you’re bound to fall in love with its infectious rif and Katie’s silky voice. Hopefully we’ll be teased with some new material on the horizon.
Waxahatchee will be performing at The Fleece on 14th June, grab a ticket here and expect some beastly tunes!
