It’s been a splendid long weekend filled with family time, music, sport and lots of chocolate. Now back into full gear and ready for the second quarter of 2018; kick off the new month with these top new tunes this week.

Austel – Crows

Austel, the moniker of musician Annie Rew Shaw, has been a nurturing project over the last few months. Debut single ‘Crows’ arrives at the right time for the new season, and what a marvellous introduction it is. Electronic soundscapes combine with emotive songwriting for an intriguing listen while the textured sequences, delicate synth and haunting vocals at play transcend the piece into something truly spectacular.

Fenne Lily – Car Park

Eeek! We’re only four sleeps away till Fenne Lily’s much anticipated debut album On Hold. Ahead of the release, we’re treated to one last tease with sombre track ‘Car Park’. Stay tuned for our full review of the album later this week!

MØ – Nostalgia

Currently on her UK tour, pop star has shared another smash hit with ‘Nostalgia’. Pulsating from start to finish, along with a singalong lyric video to get stuck into. MØ headlines Bristol O2 Academy on Saturday.

Her’s – Love On The Line (Call Now)

How about some slacker pop fun? Her’s deliver the goods with sugary jingle ‘Love On The Line (Call Now)’. Who says phone calls can’t be cute? The duo are currently on tour and will stop by Bristol later this month (27th, The Louisiana).

Hop Along – Prior Things

Another album we’re looking forward to this week! Hop Along share one last treat with ‘Prior Things’ before the big release day of Bark Your Head Off, Dog on Friday; once again delivering open lyrics that come to life and hold you so close. Listen below.

Skating Polly – Camelot

Killer riffs and sparky attitude; punk rock trio Skating Polly are certainly going all out with their blistering sound. New cut ‘Camelot’ goes in full throttle as the siblings shows us why they’re one of the best rock bands around.
