If you enjoy playing the bango then you’ll love this and we’re delighted to give you an exclusive first look at Jamie Cruickshank’s Bristol Sofar Sound live session performing ‘This Is Where Mosquitos Breed’.
The video shot earlier this year see’s the Bristol based songwriter showcase his excellent string work on the bango, and the lighthearted words on living in New Zealand as a child all make for an enjoyable listen. Even the audience get in on action with foot stomps and handclaps in the final third.
Telling us about the bango and crafting his sound, Jamie, said:
“My banjo has been slowly falling apart and the strings are about an inch from the frets halfway up the neck, but it enables me to really bend the notes and make some new sounds.”
