We’ve made it, we’ve survived January and now enter into a new month and the gradual start of longer days. The more exciting thing however, is that ones to watch stars Lazy Day have dropped some new music. The London based four-piece share single ‘Weird Cool’ which is set to come out via Art Is Hard Records on a limited edition flexi-disc.
“I think ‘Weird Cool’ is a love song that’s scared to be a love song, and my intake of breath at the very start shows that – like when you’re psyching yourself up to say something difficult,” lead singer Tilly Scantlebury explains to DIY.
“Musically I wanted people to be able to move to it, something groovy and hypnotic. It’s really (weird) cool to be able to release new music so soon after the EP, so that there’s not such a time warp between my creative life and my actual life. It’s a good feeling.”
Lazy Day are due to hit the road in March with a Bristol show scheduled at The Louisiana on 10th. Tickets are on sale now.
