March is well and truly underway, and with it another round-up of our favourite new tunes to share and enjoy. So let’s get right to it!
Tamu Massif – Iron Lights
Starting our list is the talented Tamu Massif with his new single ‘Iron Lights’. The Bristol artist is known for his humble words and blending both indie and electronic elements to form his rich sound. This track might very well be his best yet; soulful tones, textured guitars layers and production beats that all feel right at home. Listen below.
Diet Cig – Barf Day
We can’t wait for Diet Cig’s debut album Swear I’m Good At This next month, and the indie-pop duo have shared another teaser with ‘Barf Day’. Raw, big and bittersweet; the band are as strong as ever and don’t hold back when it comes to their thoughts.
Paint – Intro
We caught this one earlier this week via Hide The Line (great music blog to check out!) and have been hooked ever since. ‘Intro’ from Bristol based five-piece Paint is the kind of music that’ll wash away all your worries, bringing calm and clarity to the senses. Their incredibly ambient instrumental with lucid guitar rhythms, smooth synths and scattering drums is both a class above and a joy to listen to. Hit the play button and sink in.
Bad Sounds – Meat On My Bones
What better way to accompany an already awesome track than an animated music video. That’s what Bad Sounds have exactly done for current single ‘Meat On My Bones’, packing all your favourite colours, shapes and grooves in one super fun bundle. Also, the video features animations of Bristol artists including ThisisDA, Stevie Parker and Fenne Lily. Check it out below.
Lucy Rose – Floral Dresses (ft. The Staves)
Lucy Rose has shared her new single ‘Floral Dresses’, featuring guest vocals and harmonies from The Staves. The singer-songwriter has been honing her sound over the last few months, harbouring her graceful vocals and acoustic guitar as she gears up for her new album. ‘Floral Dresses’ is simply beautiful, and a welcoming taster of what’s to come this year.
Sœur – Put You On
We’ve invited Bristol based trio Sœur to share their favourite picks for March. The band also announced details of their debut EP What Separates Us, due for release on 21st. Lead single ‘Put You On’ is both slick and nail-biting, offering a refreshing style of rock that’s worthy of attention. Exciting things on the horizon for the group so don’t miss out on the action!
Husky Loops – Tempo
Having caught Husky Loops live last month at The Crofters Rights, we’re eagerly excited for their debut EP. The London based three-piece have shared new song ‘Tempo’, leaving no time to waste on their energetic sound. Gritty and riff heavy, it’s another solid display from the promising trio.
