Festival Preview: Field Day 2016

Field Day festival returns for its 10th anniversary at Victoria Park in the very heart of London on the 11th and 12th June.

Offering an exciting mixture of some of the best names in electronic and guitar-based music, established acts such as, headliners James Blake and PJ Harvey are joined by a high calibre of new talent.

From the beautiful electronic layers of Gold Panda, Four Tet, and Motor City Drum Ensemble, to the striking guitars of Deerhunter, Fat White Family and Brian Jones Town Massacre; Field Day is set to be one of the finest in the festival’s 10 year history.

Not to be missed, is the gifted Australian electronic group The Avalanches, who are releasing an album this year after a decade of rumours. Their first since 2000’s debut full length Since I Left You.

The festival is also home to village mentality. There will be an opportunity to take part in old school activities such as sack racing and the egg and spoon race, and if you’re hungry enough, there’s even a chance to win at the Field Day eating contest!

Bringing a sparkling array of artists to a line-up that stands out above the rest, Field Day also provides a splash of fun and uniqueness to this year’s festival season.
